Assallam Alaikum Dear Br and Sisters
My community is very divided with regards to given khutbah on fridays. My Indo-pakistani brothers insist that the khutab is part of sallat and therefore can only be given in Arabic. Unfortunately 80% of the community are non-arabic speaking. In other to circumvent the condition, they will give a speech in English before Khutbah, then give the khutbah, which is mainly Dua in Arabic. I would appreciate if the Fatwa committee can address this issue. Jazaka AllahuHarin
